What you shouldn’t be doing in Thailand!

February 18th, 2010

Right People always ask, what should I try when I am on holiday? Should i try going to some of these places? All of the items above can help you to enjoy your vacation, but what can you do to avoid the things that can make it worse? So Thailand is this example, here are the top 6 things not to do when you go on holiday to Thailand!

  1. If you want to make Religious comments or remarks, do them in your head and your head only, then giggle if you must, but do not repeat them out loud. Do not climb over any statues of Buddha, and do not deface them. These are sacred objects and you will end up in a world of pain if you disgrace them!
  2. Although Bangkok is very seedy, the rest of Thailand is very reserved, so make sure you keep your clothes on and try not to be disrespectful. If you wait till night, it is more appropriate to remove a T-shirt, but only that at the most, and only a man.
  3. Just remember that even though some of these rules do not apply in Bangkok, there are some other things that you will need to remember! People tend to be very fast with their fingers and hands, so watch out for pick pockets they will grab your wallet without you even knowing. Don’t let yourself down by forgetting to bring protection, be safe, you never know what you will do after a bunch of drinks!
  4. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO DRUGS. Make sure that you heed this warning, a long jail sentence or even worse a possible death sentence, depending on how hard the drug!
  5. Definitely do not stay to long! If your Visa should run out, do not hang around, it is extremely important that you leave the country immediately, if you are discovered then you could end up in a nasty little cramped cell!
  6. Make sure you don’t get wooed into falling in love. I know that this is an awful thing to say, just make sure they can’t get hold of your bank details, you may not think it could happen, and then BAM it does!

Asia holidays are on the rise, Thailand holidays have really kicked off, but other popular ones are; Maldives holidays and Sri Lanka holidays!

The 5 Worst animals to come across on Safari in Sri Lanka!

February 18th, 2010

Your holiday is ready to happen, and you are all prepared. What the main things for you to actually worry about when you go on a safari in Sri Lanka?

  1. Are you one of those people that really wants to see an Asiatic Elephant. Musthe is what you should be really scared of, this is a frenzy that some elephants enter at random moments, even those that have been trained all their lives go though this sometimes, they become very deadly.
  2. Then there is the Leopard, a more obvious animal to be more frightened of. These well hidden and crafty animals like to sneak up on their prey, and then charge at immense speeds. If you see one of the animals coming towards you slowly, then stand still, don’t run! They are however quite shy creatures and the chances of encountering one are very low.
  3. This one is debatable by some, and everything depending on how it reacts depends on how you act. The Sambar Deer is a very large and powerful animal. These animals have a relaxed attitude, just make sure that you don’t agitate them. They will charge if they feel they are under attack, and weighing in at around 280 kilos each, you don’t want a stampede.
  4. These next ones are some big reptiles. This is probably the easiest animal to annoy and aggravate, the Swamp Crocodile is a particularly nasty animal. This animal is one you really don’t want to be to close to.
  5. This final one is a lizard, but it is a scary one. The Monitor lizard is a very large lizard, much like the Komodo Dragon, in fact it is around 2 metres in length, and is a very powerful predator. Do not get in this animals way!

Still fancy Sri lanka holidays, in all realisations, these animals are never going to cause a problem on your vacation. If you want something more relaxing maybe you should try Luxury holidays, how about Dubai holidays?

What the Top holidays for 2010?

January 26th, 2010

As provided by Travel agents around the world, these are to be the next top holiday locations!

New Yorkers have declared that Sri Lanka could be the next number 1 luxury holiday of 2010, but there are many people that disagree with this arguement. This is an expensive country to get too; although once you’re there you won’t be spending much at all. This is one of the most relaxing locations in the world, probably and it is aided by the views surrounding it.

Next on the list is the Maldives, this is classed as one of the most luxurious places on the planet to go on holiday. Each hotel has an island to itself, jetting out over the water. The Spa treatments are basically the only form of recreational activity here. Diving is the actual “recreational” based activity that you can take part in, with some amazing different species of animals for you to see!

Now of course you had to expect that the Caribbean was going to make an appearance, and here is St Lucia. Celebrities enjoy spending their holiday time in the Caribbean, so if you want to stalk them or live like them, this is where you should go. You don’t have to be a millionaire to come here, there are hotels suited to everyone’s monetary needs. If you want to relax in a tropical yet hot environment, by the beach all the time, then St Lucia is a great option, and the drinks are good too!

Sharm El Sheikh. There are some people that really like it here, and there are those that are not interested, but it receives many visitors all the time. Egypt receives a massive amount of tourists every year, and definitely deserves a position at the top of the list. If you are not sure about the accommodation, you have nothing to worry about, this is amazing and it is extremely cheap as well. If you are a diving fanatic, then the Red Sea is a great place to visit, with Coral reefs, wildlife and sharks!

There are some others that are close to the top like Cuba holidays, any Caribbean holidays for that matter, and you never know you might find yourself indulging in Weddings abroad, suggest it to the Boyfriend, and see what happens!
