What you need for your holiday to Sharm El Sheikh!

March 5th, 2010

Ok so you are preparing for your next holiday and you have decided on Egypt, or more specifically Sharm El Sheikh. So now that you have all of your packing almost finished, is there anything that you could have possibly forgotten. So the obvious checklist, something that everyone will hopefully remember is the passport, airline tickets and sun cream, please tell me your remembered sun cream!

So what do we know about Sharm El Sheikh, well a couple of clearly stated points are:

  • It is very warm and in most cases boiling hot.
  • Shadows are hard to come by, there is a lot of sun.
  • Sand, lots and lots of sand, the stuff is everywhere.
  • This is where you can indulge in all your diving loving, because your next to clear blue seas.

So what can we do with this information? Well at least with all of this now we have some general ideas of what might help. This country may be very warm and quite dry, but it is important to remember the cultures. Flesh or at least the revealing of your body can be seen as rude and disrespectful, so please try to refrain from. Make sure you have a hat, it is one of the most simple pieces of clothing to have with you, and it can be a life saver, especially saving your head from the heat.

If you are thinking of diving, then make sure that you pack your own diving wet suit, it can be very difficult or expensive to rent one for a day or a week. Don’t take a few pairs of High heels, ladies we all know that you like to look nice, but trainers are extremely important here, even hiking boots in some cases, there is a lot of sand, and soft roads.

Sharm El Sheikh holidays for all, this is such a popular holiday these days, now however people still seem more interested in Caribbean holidays and on the other side of Egypt, Hurghada holidays.

A Perfect Day Of Vacation

March 5th, 2010

When going to vacations, many of us have dreams about how all the days spent there should look like. Unfortunately, sometimes unexpected things happen that hinder us from having the best time. One solution would be to make the most out of what we have there and just enjoy each moment. If you have ever been to a distant paradise, then you should know how a perfect day should look like.

A perfect start for any day far from home is watching the sunrise. If you have a trip to the seaside, then the sunrise should be even more beautiful. There is no better thing to do to get the energy needed for the day. The next activities require a good start and the right mood.

The next thing after breakfast should be comprised of some golf lessons. Learning how to break 80 on a perfectly green field beats any experience in the world, especially if you are a golf lover. With the right coach you will soon be able to swing like a professional.

If think that you are too stressed out and could use some relaxation in the middle of the day, head over to the hotel spa. In the hands of professional staff, anyone could be more refreshed than ever. With a good massage, the day can continue with more activities.

After you have relaxed all your muscles, is time to start the action again. Learning to do some extreme sports is perfect way to end a beautiful sunny day. In a luxury location, there are many possibilities, like ski jet, diving, paragliding, windsurfing or whatever catches your attention. You will get the right equipment along with a black helmet for protective reasons.

A beautiful end for such a perfect day could be watching the sunset on the beach. If that is not possible, than just standing in front of the fire and having a bottle of wine with the right person could be just as good. If you cannot find a fire, then home space heaters will have to do the job.

Vacations are always about relaxing or trying some new things. By assuring you do only what you like and makes you happy, you can have the perfect day away from home. Any vacation that has only perfect days is a vacation worth taking. After such an experience, you will get recharged and ready for the most usual and boring things in life.

Don’t do this in Barbados!

March 5th, 2010

Here is another one of those quirky articles that tries to help you with your holiday by offering you ideas on things you should avoid, or at least try to avoid doing that could ruin your holiday. Barbados is a party capital, and many people do not have any problems with taking advantage of this.

  • First and most definitely foremost, and this doesn’t just apply to the young people of the world, stay well away from nay drugs. If you are caught with anything here that is even remotely Illegal you won’t be in for a fun time, not to mention that the drugs on offer here could be a lot more violent compared to some that you may have access to back at home.
  • Secondly do not make any public nuisance of yourself, if you want to perform to a crowd of people, make sure that you do it sober and nothing that can be taken offensively, the Barbadians will report you to the police immediately if you are rude, obnoxious or otherwise “out of order”.
  • OK now for the drinks, seriously the drinks can be deadly, but only if someone has spiked them, make sure that you do not touch anything that looks like it has been tampered.
  • This one is very important to remember, where ever you go you will be annoyed by mini van taxis for a lift, say NO or just wave them on, if you are walking somewhere keep it that way. These people will try anything that they possibly can to get you into their cars, even if it means blurting swear words at you. Trust me, I promise you that you will be risking your life jumping into one of these death traps, they cram these things with as many people as possible, and then speed all over the place. Even if none of this is your fault, if the police get involved you could find yourself in a bit of a sticky situation and maybe even receiving some of the blame!

At least now you have some clear ideas what to avoid on your Barbados holidays, for smoother more relaxing Caribbean holidays try St Lucia or Antigua, and for something completely different and more spa oriented try Thailand holidays!
