Fly Drive holidays in Australia!

February 12th, 2010

Right, Australia is becoming one of the most popular places to go on holiday, so all we need to do is work out where to go? Australia is so large it is actually a continent. So deciding where to visit can be quite tricky, especially when there may be several places you want to visit. The easiest way for you to overcome all of this and do what you need to is to take the option to go on a tour.

Now you have two main choices that you need to make before deciding on a tour. The choice is yours, do you want to travel around on your own, or with a whole group of people you may not have met before? Once you have decided this you can map out your holiday experience, or on the other jump on a tour bus and travel around yourself.

Escorted tours are the best way to get the low down on Australian culture and experience their way of life. the experience these guides have will help you to enjoy your adventure. Escorted tours will take you to set destinations, and you wont have much say as to where you go on these tours. If you don’t want to go to one of the locations on the route, you hit a bit of a dead end, because you can’t change where the bus is going. If you just so happen to be one of those people that likes to make lots of new friends then an escorted tour is best for you!

You can take this option, the Fly Drive tour, or Self Drive, which is where you arrange your touring holiday. The joy with these holidays is that you can sort out exactly where it is that you want to go, then you simply rent a car when you get there and head off on your journey. These holidays have become extremely popular around the world, allowing people to experience their holidays the way that they would like to experience them. There are little restrictions and if you decide not to visit a location you do not have too! One main disadvantage is that you will need to do all the planning and all the driving, so consider carefully when making this decision.

Australia holidays are still growing and have yet to reach their full potential. But because of its size the Fly Drive Australia holidays are becoming the best form of holiday for this Country.

A doctor that moved to Australia without knowing where he was going!

February 11th, 2010

Now Australia wants some more skilled jobs to come into their nation, no longer will those that are just getting into the country for “simple” jobs be allowed to do so. The more skilled and professional jobs including IT technicians and emergency staff are being requested. Is there another country in the world that has had an overwhelming demand for chefs and hairdressers.

A country that is in desperate need of hairdressers and cooking skills has something else to worry about, probably their sanity? They were inundated with applications for these two courses totalling over 10 thousand. Now they have removed them from the list of occupational skills and will not be accepting any more people from even educational background.

However this is straying off the point a little, I have never heard of anyone taking a leap of faith and moving to a country that they have never visited before! For some people if things are getting really bad in your current surroundings, then you might be tempted to do something compulsive like that. Well one man has done that, and now he regrets it.

A doctor that was once living in the UK, decided it was best to move out after his divorce. Having never been to Australia before, he still believed that travelling thousands of miles to get away from home was the best idea! Well things didn’t progress as expected. I am not really surprised, although the guy didn’t really miss his wife all that much, he didn’t like Australia all that much either. This was one of the hottest summers in Australia as well, and you will never guess what, our Doctor was not at all keen on hot weather.

It is probably not the best idea to leave your last job on a bad and out of tune note, in fact this would really cause things to go really bad, returning wouldn’t be much of an option. He is still in Australia, stuck where he arrived, attempting to change his current destination, but not to come back to the UK. Oh dear, maybe before he travelled away he should have tried Australia holidays or maybe he should have just taken a day trip on Sydney holidays!

Which is The Best Sydney Hotel?

January 30th, 2010

Sydney is the largest city of Australia and is also the state capital of New South Wales. Home to 4.34 million people, Sydney is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. However, according to the Mercer cost of living survey, Sydney is also Australia’s “most expensive city” and the 66th most expensive city in the world. Therefore, it’s important that you spend some time researching Sydney hotels to ensure you get the best travel deal. Otherwise your dream Australian vacation could easily turn into a financial nightmare.

Blue is one of the trendy Sydney hotels located in the Woolloomooloo marina in the New South Wales district. Blue was rated the #1 Sydney accommodation by www.resortsandlodges.com and also received the “Gold List” award by Condé Nast Traveler in 2007. The Sydney Morning Herald and Sydney Good Food Guide both rated Blue’s Water Bar the “Bar of the Year” or “Best Bar.” It’s also one of the top 10 bars in the world, according to Condé Nast Traveler. Your room will be plush with a flat screen TV, Serendipity bath products and pillow-top mattresses with featherbeds. Double rooms with bay views start at 5.

Sometimes luxury hotels aren’t what your family had in mind for your Sydney accommodations. For instance, if you’re traveling with children, Barbara McMahon from the UK Guardian newspaper recommends staying at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo. The “Roar and Snore” program includes “a guided night safari, tent accommodations, buffet dinner, refreshments, continental breakfast, behind-the-scene tours, free car parking and admission to the zoo the following day.” The all-inclusive cost is $165 for adults and $110 for children. Sleeping bags, sheets and ground mats can also be rented for $10/night. Taronga zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals from over 350 different species. They’ve birthed elephants and platypuses on the property and are noted for having impressive “Wild Australia” and “Wild Asia” displays.

If money is no object to you when you’re considering Sydney hotels, then there isn’t a more prestigious hangout than Park Hyatt.
