Is this the top holiday in the world for luxury?

January 21st, 2010

Why do people really like Sharm El Sheikh and what is so great about? Sharm El Shiekh has been a massive contender for the number 1 holiday spot, especially for luxury holidays, but why is it doing so well?

Sharm El Shiekh has two reasons why people are so interested to visit. The first is the diving aspect of this location. Sharm has been spoken about by many divers as probably the best locations in the world. One massive factor is simply the amount of biological diversity in the Red Sea, the corals in this ocean are very easy to find as there are so many, there are around 250 in this area alone! These coral reefs are some of the easiest for divers to access in the world. The next big reason that divers believe this to be such a great place to go diving is that it is home to around 1000 different species of fish. This makes it a great place for people to view all kinds of different varieties of fish.

When divers head out to look for certain things and species in the ocean, this forms a new type of tourism named “Scientific tourism”. This form of holidaying is for those that like to take notes on new species or collate information on something they have a passion for. This form of tourism also usually involves quite a lengthy stay which tour operators and airlines are more than happy to cater for.

The weather is the next biggest point why this holiday is so big, people love warm countries. This warm ang dry climate is unique to Africa, and especially to Egypt. This is one of the places in the world just like the rest of Africa, that receives very little water all year round. The temperatures can even reach around 38 degrees at their peak in July.

Sharm El Sheikh holidays are great, they are even more popular than Caribbean holidays and Maldives holidays combined! St Lucia holidays and Barbados holidays will have to step up their game!

Recommended holidays for next year, something different!

January 21st, 2010

So we thought now we could give you some information that could help you book your holiday for next year. The holidays are now upon us and we need to get booking those all important holidays for family. Now that we are coming out of the recession, the chance that we can all afford a holiday has risen quite considerably and to be fair, I think that we all need one.

Although these holidays are not the most popular at the moment, soon they could very well become recognised as top contenders. Hurghada, this may be a place you have heard of, but it has always had a problem competing with the likes of Sharm El Sheikh. However now they are becoming more of a niche centre. Hurghada has only really recently been discovered as a potentially massive tourist opportunity, Sharm El Sheikh had always had dominance over other places in Egypt. The same qualities you find in Sharm can also be found in Hurghada, some of the diving is even better. There is so much to do including, boat rides with clear bottoms, to see the corals and even camel rides across the desert plains.

Well next here is Sri Lanka, and is one of the newer locations that tourists want to visit these days. This place has been torn by war and civil disagreements but has recently become a bustling area for tourists to visit. Described by many as a place for people to find themselves, this holiday location provides some truly gorgeous surroundings. Checking the spa hotels out is a must, this is what Sri Lanka is the best for, the accommodation and the people are friendly and top quality.

Now when you mention the Caribbean, this does seem like the most obvious answer, but not this particular country. Cuba could quite possibly become the most popular holiday to go on in the Caribbean. Cuba is like one of those places stuck in the past, a great way for people to experience a completely different way of life, yet still be in complete luxury and heaven. This is a holiday that has become more and more popular each and every year.

All you need to do is choose one of these vacations, Sri Lanka holidays, Cuba holidays and Hurghada holidays, what is your decision?

Would you like to see these animals on your holiday to Canada?

January 21st, 2010

After i had said that these animals all lived in Canada, everyone looked at me like i was weird. It did feel as though not many of the people I asked even knew where Canada was.

I was having a discussion with a friend one day about Polar Bears, when I told him that they lived also in Canada, he looked at me funny. I then had to take him to a computer and show him the Polar bear Capital of the world. Churchill is where a mass of Polar bears all pass through to get to where they want to settle. There are about 15,000 polar bears in North Canada, probably more than many people think. There are around twelve hundred Polar Bears that traipse through the Town of Churchill each year at fall.

Now we come to the cunning weasel, and to be honest for me the main reason these animals are so great is simply because I think there is no other that can be collectively called a Boogle! In fact Weasels can be found almost all over the world, with Australia and Antarctica as the exception. The Weasel is considered by many to be a cunning creature and is found all over Canada, they eat small rodents. Those that consider them vermin couldn’t be more wrong, especially when they help to dispose of rats and rabbits, much like ferrets.

This one is quite an obvious one, or at least I thought so, almost all of the people i asked didn’t know that it lived in Canada, maybe it is just the people i asked? The Biggy is the Walrus, now when you think that they have measured up to six and a half metres they are a bit bigger than a Polar bear. The Walrus hase very large and strong Ivory tusks that are used in nasty conflict and to scare off any predators. They were once in trouble of becoming extinct, but since laws have been introduced to stop their being hunted, their population has recently boomed.

So does any of this make you want to go on Canada holidays, I am off on Vancouver holidays all next year, and will be taking as many pictures of animals and wildlife as possible, Canada tours are my forte!
