Awesome Vacations For Families

March 18th, 2010

It can be very hard to find a vacation that suits every single member of a family but there do seem to be some out there that can be suited for everyone.

Disney

Disney had to be on the top of this list and the only reason it isnt the only thing on the entire list is because price has a lot to do with it and it can be very expensive indeed. I have to say that I have been to many of the parks across the world and the destination I would recommend is the one in Orlando, Florida and this is because it has the most on offer to a family. The thing is, you have the four main parks which are massive and then on top of all of this you have the two big water parks with loads of other activities on top of it all too!.

Villa
A villa is a great choice for a family because it is private and you can be as loud as you want which means plenty of pool time volleyball!. You can sit around and do nothing with the kids and just mess around with them for a couple of weeks.

Active holidays
There are a lot of parents out there that wouldnt be thinking on taking their kids on one of those walking holidays it is a really good way to spend time with the family. it allows you and your children to get to see things you would not usually be able to se.

I would at least consider this option and ask your kids if they would be interested in something like Costa Rica holidays.

So do not let yourself simply decided on the vacation you are going to take, consult the entire family before you jet off to another location.

Family Vacations

March 15th, 2010

There are many places that you can go as a family there is no doubt about that but which ones are the best out there?

Orlando, Florida

There are so many things to do here that it is hard not to see why it is at the top of the list, from visiting theme parks to swimming with sea creatures like bottle nosed dolphins. I have been here with the family on so many occasions and although I am nearly 19 now I have to say I have never gotten bored of Disney World and I do not believe that I ever will! If theme parks aren’t your thing you might want to give this one a miss. This place is simply amazing from start to finish it has to be at the top of my list of recommendations.

New York City, New York

So many people tend to assume that the city can offer nothing to families, they are very mistaken. The city has so many things to do from various Zoo’s to locations that you can visit as an entire family, times square for instance can be enjoyed as a family. A nice picnic in the middle of Central Park is also a great option to take as a family.

St Lucia

This is a good place to go if you have older children and the spring is a great time to do this because there are not any tropical storms around this period if time. If you like your trails and your cycling then you will simply love this destination because there are miles upon miles of trails to explore. There are several places where windsurfers can hang out on this glorious island and of course the beaches are great for relaxing on. Hotels include the brilliant St Lucian by Rex resorts and the rendezvous hotel St Lucia. Now is the perfect time to take one of those perfect St Lucia holidays.

How To Make The Most Of A Family Vacation

February 22nd, 2010

There’s nothing better than taking a holiday with your family, especially after spending most of the year working. A vacation is the perfect way to become closer to each other and relax at the same time. If you’re worried about keeping your kids happy during your next vacation, this article might be able to help you.

Long drives or trips on flights can be very boring for young children. Sometimes, they become so restless that they start screaming, crying, or doing something even worse. Always pack toys, games, books, and coloring pencils for the kids to enjoy while traveling. Don’t pack markers, your kids might end up drawing on your vehicle.

Pack some tasty snacks that the kids will enjoy. It’s important to give them something that’s good for them, but since it’s a trip, it’s okay to give them a sweet treat too.

If you are driving to your destination, map out the rest stops that are on the way. You’ll rest easier if you know when your next bathroom trip will be. Also look for places that might be fun to visit on the way. You might as well make the journey just as fun as the rest of the vacation.

Put a digital sport watch on each of your kids’ wrists. If they know the time, they can’t be late for meeting up with you or for any activities that are planned.

It might be a good idea to provide your children with cell phones. This will keep them connected to you at all times and the ability to call emergency services if necessary.

Make sure you pack tons of clothing for the kids. There’s no telling just how messy they’ll get while on holiday or if you’ll even have any access to a laundromat or a washing machine. If they always have clean clothes, your trip will be a happier one.

Safety is very important. If you plan to play any sports on the vacation, remember to take protective clothing, padding, and helmets. A Giro ski helmet or snowboarding helmet will keep your children’s heads safe. The helmet can also be used for other sports if necessary.

Once the trip is over, you can all make a scrapbook together that includes all the memories you’ve made during your vacation. This will be fun for the whole family to do. Also, younger kids may enjoy making a Disney scrapbook.

Don’t let your vacation stress you out. If you keep the kids busy and full, they’ll be less fussy and you’ll all have more fun.
