Get Away From The Crowd, With A Completely Gay Cruise

January 26th, 2010

Whatever your gay vacation style, sailing off on a gay cruise could be just the thing to experience something a little bit different. Many operators arrange these cruises now, with most focus being on two main types.

The first type of cruise available, often referred to as a gay cruise,  may seem like the best option for many. These cruises are often booked by tour  operators, whereby an entire cruise liner is booked to create a completely gay  environment.

With a full-on party atmosphere, entertainment from some of the world’s leading stars, games, events, parties and shows; these really are not for the shy! For many, this is just what is needed; a chance to just go crazy knowing that there is no one around to take offence, get upset or spoil your fun!

On such a cruise, you are guaranteed of a fantastic atmosphere and the parties and shows often see appearances by the leading stars of the gay entertainment scene, whilst on a large vessel, you can party with thousands of others; just like you.

If, however you want to have a little more of an actual vacation, though allowing you to meet and relax with other gays and lesbians, a gay group cruise will be more to your liking. Taking place as part of a mainstream cruise, these are quieter but no less enjoyable.

Downsides to these cruises generally center around the entertainment offered which,  understandably enough, is more geared to the straight crowd. However, many of these  cruises do manage to arrange special events by invite only; whilst time on land can  also be structured more appropriately.

Being a part of a mainstream cruise, many people prefer this approach, as things may get, well, a little too gay on a gay environment cruise. At least here, you can have the joys of both.

No matter what you gay cruise choice, you are sure to have a fantastic time. The only really hard decision will be where to cruise!

Gay travel to Mexico is very accessible as there are many anti-discrimatory laws in place and homosexuality is legal. Gay travel is welcomed in many places and Puerto Vallarta, Tijuana, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Cancun.  Acapulco for gay travel is ideal.  All of these destinations have resident gay communities.

An excellent and exotic place to visit is Puerto Vallarta as it has plenty of gay clubs and also is very close to the beach. The night life is quite wild and all the bars are gay friendly. Several of the clubs and bars are designated gay and a few choices include The Palm, Los Amigos, Apaches, The Ranch, Los Balcones, Paco Paco, and El Morbo.

The gay beach in Puerto Vallarta has the nickname of Blue chairs because the beach is lined with blue lounging chairs. There are many other activities in Puerto Vallarta besides clubbing and the beach as you can visit the many waterfalls and lagoons, go sailing and take advantage of the hiking in the area.

Mexico City as a gay destination is very old and can be a great vacation for gay couples. A lot has been done to try to clean up the air pollution and you can visit the Aztec ruins right outside the city as well as see the many historical landmarks, the Basilica and art galleries found within the city. In Mexico City the obvious gay area is the Zona Rosa.

For those desiring a beach vacation Cancun is the spot. This is the most popular vacation destination in Mexico. There are plenty of discos, water sports, clubs, restaurants and more in Cancun. The nightlife can be very wild even during the slow season. If you need a break from the wild scene you can visit one of the nearby villages for more traditional Mexican culture. If you are put off from visiting Mexico City due to the pollution then Guadalajara is an excellent city of choice. Guadalajara has less crime and pollution then Mexico City.
