Party And Chill, On A Gay Cruise

March 5th, 2010

Whatever your gay vacation style, sailing off on a gay cruise could be just the thing to experience something a little bit different. Many operators arrange these cruises now, with most focus being on two main types.

If you are new to a life on the high seas; it could be best to go for a completely gay cruise. Many tour operators now hire out entire vessels, with the soul intention for full on gay entertainment.

With a full-on party atmosphere, entertainment from some of the world’s leading stars, games, events, parties and shows; these really are not for the shy! For many, this is just what is needed; a chance to just go crazy knowing that there is no one around to take offence, get upset or spoil your fun!

On such a cruise, you are guaranteed of a fantastic atmosphere and the parties and shows often see appearances by the leading stars of the gay entertainment scene, whilst on a large vessel, you can party with thousands of others; just like you.

If, however you want to have a little more of an actual vacation, though allowing you to meet and relax with other gays and lesbians, a gay group cruise will be more to your liking. Taking place as part of a mainstream cruise, these are quieter but no less enjoyable.

Downsides to these cruises generally center around the entertainment offered which,  understandably enough, is more geared to the straight crowd. However, many of these  cruises do manage to arrange special events by invite only; whilst time on land can  also be structured more appropriately.

Being a part of a mainstream cruise, many people prefer this approach, as things may get, well, a little too gay on a gay environment cruise. At least here, you can have the joys of both.

There are other types of gay cruise available, and new and more outrageous ideas coming online all the time. Your choice is not easy, and that is before you decide which islands or coasts to cruise around!
