Kissimmee Florida Vacation Rentals

As a Florida vacation rental owner, for 10 years renting my condo that is very close to Disney Orlando, there are many handy hints and tips that I will make available to you to ensure your trip to Florida is not just a memorable one but one that maximises the time you have available. Seasoned travelers will tell you that two weeks is never enough to do all the things you want to do. Also not everyone has the same taste in attractions, restaurants, shopping experiences etc. So I will guide you through some helpful tips to ensure you get the most out of your Kissimmee Florida Vacation.

Before you choose a rental villa you need to select an area that accommodates all you want to do during your trip. There is no sense picking a vacation rental greater than 20 minutes away because it will cut into your precious vacation time. There are plenty of villas that are well within reach of all the major attractions and with the ongoing development of the I4 and highway 27 the Davenport and Kissimmee areas, for example, are perfectly located.

Most communities in these areas offer easy reach to the attractions combined with peace and quiet away from the parks once the day is done. More vacation condo owners are now adding maps to their website so you can find the exact area of where the property is locacted.

Once you choose the area you want to stay in, looking for a villa is now easy; most web sites advertising private villas for rent offer a search facility that includes certain areas by city, Davenport, Kissimmee, Gulf Coast etc. So just search vacation rentals in an area of your choice and I guarentee you will find plenty to choose from.

When choosing a condo, the most popular pick is the 3 bedroom condo vacation rental because of its size. Most have their own private heated pool so you don’t have to share a pool with anyone else. When searching for your Florida Vacation Rental, keep in mind all of the things that are important for you when choosing your holiday home.

A few things to consider are;

1. A vacation rental that allows you to view a 360 ‘Virtual Tour’ (Photo’s can be deceiving)

2. Private heated south facing pool (For maximum sunshine)

3. One with a Guest Book (Read what others have said about the home)

4. Free phone calls, local and international (Saving a fortune phoning home and within the US)

5. Free Internet access (A must for local searching)

6. Free use of a Bar-B-Que (Great for watching the sun go down)

7. Close to a food store (Within 5 minutes drive)

8. Within 15-20 minutes of Disney attractions (More time to enjoy your stay)

These are just 8 important things to add to your list, as opposed to getting to your holiday home only to find you are miles away from it all, and that you could have rented a home with everything on your check list, if you only had taken the time.

OK now we have a place to stay let’s look at what we are going to do in Florida and set an agenda.

1. Theme Parks (List all those you want to visit in preference order)

2. Shopping (What are you looking to buy?)

3. What type of Restaurants do you perfer?)

4. Other attractions (Kennedy Space Centre, ST. Petersburg, Etc.)

It’s so easy to act like a bull in a china shop in Florida running around from park to park, shopping, dining out, visiting major attractions and spending two weeks feeling exhausted from it all. A handy tip is to sit and plan your days in advance so you see all you want within the time spent there.

It is good advice to do a theme park every other day and not try to fit a different one every single day in your first week. Not that you will get board but in can be very draining especially at peak times of the year when you can spend a bit of time queuing for rides and shows.

Another reason for choosing a condo with in 15 minute drive to the theme parks its for convenience and saves you a lot of time wasting travel. You can get a pass-out from all the parks so you won’t have to pay to re-enter. Also theme park food can be expensive in comparison to that purchased outside the parks and it is even cheaper to throw something on the BBQ at lunch time back at the villa. You will find if you break your day up in this way, you and the family will get to stay right until the end when the park closes and enjoy their closing spectacular displays, without feeling exhausted. out.

Be sure to check the surrounding area and choose the area’s with lots of amentities like shopping and restaurants. So when your traveling back and forth you can enjoy your favorite foods and shopping all in the same vicinity? The areas in and around the attractions are easily accessible for shops and eating outlets so familiarise yourself with the local area to minimize travel time. Another reason to choose a vacation rental with free internet access, so you can research and find out places for you to go, maps and directions and the fastest way of getting there. Its great for the kids, and a great help for Local information you may need.

I trust the above is of good use and that you thoroughly enjoy planning your trip and living all Florida has to offer, and that you leave wanting more. Happy Vacations.

Florida Vacations

January 26th, 2010

Florida vacations can be great, particularly when you plan things in advance. The Sunshine State with the National Park and the Great Canyon attract thousands of people every year. No doubt, America has every reason to be proud with such beauties. Yet, you can make the best out of your vacation only if you know when to travel to this part of the country. The summer season between April and October has a humid climate with risks of hurricanes and tropical storms. It is highly advisable to plan your trip during the other half of the year, but not during the holidays.

From New Year’s Eve through Easter, Florida vacations are very expensive. Which leaves the tourist eager to save money with only two options: fall or late spring. Holidays are not the only factors to be taken into consideration, as you also need to pay great attention to local events that substantially increase the number of visitors and the prices for accommodation and services. The seafood festival in Cedar Key and the Firecracker 400 NASCAR race are just a few examples of popular events when prices double or triple. Where to go on Florida vacations? What destinations to choose?

Beaches, the National Park, Florida Keys or the wonderful Disney world represent the great attractions for American and foreign tourists. People will normally choose their destination depending on the family size, the kid’s preferences and the former year’s vacation. In case you want to see as much as you can in a week’s stay in Florida, you’ll spend lots of time on the road, which can be really tiresome. The best idea for such short Florida vacations is to choose one region of the state and make the best of your stay there. More exploration is usually possible with longer vacations of around two weeks or so.
