Egypt Holidays

January 26th, 2010

Egypt is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations outside of the Euro zone, and its easy to see why. Over recent years Egypt has developed its resorts purely for the toursim industry, what we have her now is some stunning and uniqe resorts for your enjoyment.

The main resorts in Egypt are Sharm el Sheikh, Hurgarda, Cairo, Luxor, Dahab and Aswan. Also to add the amazement of an Egypt holiday you can take a cruise down the river Nile. All of Egypts resorts have anything from a standard 2 star up to your sheer luxury 5 star locations, most of which will offer all inclusve deals.

Whilst on Egypt holidays you will probably want to go and see the pyramids and apart from staying in Cairo it is possible to get a plane there or hire a taxi for the day. You do need to be warned though, as if you are some distance from the pyramids you will have to get up very early and spend a lot of time travelling if you hire a taxi to take you there. However many people still use this option to travel to see the pyramids on Egypt holidays as it is cheap and quite convenient.

If you come to Egypt it would be rude not to sample the unique entertainment on offer. The majority of hotels in Egypt tend to put on Egyptian themed nights which are great fun, r you could go to a restaurant who host their own entertainment evenings.

There is more to Egypt than the Pyramids. Egypt is known around the world for its excellent diving facilities including snorkelling and any other watersport you can think of. You can also participate in beach volleyball, tennis, golf and so on, in fact there is an activity for everyone in Egypt.

If your not a fan of extreme heat then its probably best if you don’t visit in the middle of summer it can get really hot. However Egypt is very pleasant in the winter months and many people choose this time of the year to visit. Egypt can offer anyone the chance to explore a new place and see some of the most stunning sights in the world, so try an Egypt holiday if you get the chance to.

Cruise the Nile in Style

January 21st, 2010

Some maintain that a Nile Cruise is the only way to fully appreciate the truly stunning mixture of antiquity and magnificent landscape that Egypt has to offer. The Nile has been at the very centre of Egypt for centuries.Tamed, or at least constrained, by the building of the Aswan High Dam and the creation of Lake Nasser, the Nile was (and still is) the vivifying pulse of Egypt with its regular cycle of floods granting fertility and life.

Nile Cruises appeal to a wide range of tastes, lifestyles, budgets and interests. It’s the perfect way to experience Egypt from the comfort and security of a well equipped cruise ship. You are guaranteed consistently excellent quality accommodation, food and service while visiting some of the most stunning sites the ancient world has to offer.A Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan in Upper Egypt, visiting the temples of Karnak and Luxor, or cruising Lake Nasser before visiting the High Dam and the temples at Abu Simbel, can make a fantastic luxury holiday in Egypt.

Travcotel is Egypt’s leading and largest Nile cruise company that also owns a chain of five-star Egypt hotels. It operates a fleet of 20 modern Nile Cruise ships in four, five and five-star deluxe categories that cruise further up the Nile than any other operator as well as offering cruises on Lake Nasser. Most feature extensive sun decks and onboard swimming pools as well as massage and beauty facilities to make the trip even more relaxing.  All cabins in all vessels have a Nile view and are fully equipped with all the amenities and services to make your Egypt holidays as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

If it’s a more gracious, graceful and traditional luxury Nile cruise you are after, try the sedate opulence of a Dahabiya (Arabic for Golden Boat) cruise. These vessels hark back to a gentler, more refined era when aristocrats, Europe’s elite and sophisticated travellers cruised on the Nile in style. Modern replicas of these classically elegant vessels use the traditional configuration of two lateen sails to assist propulsion, so speed of travel along the Nile is slower, giving you more time to take in the sights. With decor appropriate to the luxurious and classically elegant theme of the vessels themselves, most Dahabiya feature only eight cabins and are strictly adults only.As you’d expect, levels of deluxe service reflect the elite nature of the boat and the limited passenger numbers to give you a real taste of intimate luxury and relaxed privacy.

Would the people give up there holidays for the environment?

December 19th, 2009

There is growing concern about the environment, but how concerned are we really? People are burning fuel all across the world, and all we do is create more unique ways to help damage the planet. We take something like a boat and turn it into a cruise ship, we are no longer people that live for necessity we live for luxury.

If we are really concerned about the environment, what are we going to do about going on holidays? Are we just going to keep on having a go at the world, saying we need to do something about this, yet still jump on a jumbo jet for a holiday to the Caribbean? How can we just let talks about saving the world go on, and back everything that is said, and then take off to a luxury location via one of the most destructive of all transportation techniques, the Cruise ship.

However how can we be sure that the world is really in that much trouble? A lot of this is all speculation, backed up by only minor evidence. There may be some evidential backing to all of this, but it is impossible for any scientist to actually say when the world is going to come to an end. So whats next for all of us to attempt? In truth, the damage being caused by flights isn’t in the great scheme of things all that bad, it is where fuel is being burnt in extreme amounts.

People being banned from going on holidays is so unbelievably unlikely, that we must find new ways to look after ourselves and the planet. It is up to the people to decide if they want to stop, but many of us feel as though we need holidays, so therefore won’t stop taking them, even if it does mean damaging the planet, when we get the opportunity for a holiday we have to take it. Cruise ships however, they can be banned immediately in my eyes, these contraptions are pure evil, great for destroying the planet and spreading disease to kill people, as far as i am concerned get rid of them.

There could be a rush for holidays in the next decade, where would you go, Cuba holidays, Egypt holidays or Maldives holidays?
