February 18th, 2010Celebrities capabilities have now become noticed by Thomas Cook. All they need to do is stick them on Television, they same way everyone else would use them, turn them into trained advertising chimps. However Thomas Cook has been a little different in the way they have done this. A UK celebrity teaming up with a UK tour operator is a recipe for success. If someone were to ask anyone who Jamie Redknapp was they would probably know straight away. Louise is a judge on one of the UK’s most watched shows currently on TV. Both of these people are loved by the British public!
What is it in this advert that makes it oh so special. These two celebrities are easy for the public to relate too. They can be seen travelling with Thomas Cook to a modest resort, and relaxing on the beach. This can give some people the impression that, well, “if they can go there, maybe we can live like celebrities for a week or two as well”. I do however doubt very much that Mr and Mrs Redknapp do stay in these resorts on a regular basis, but never mind what do any of us know about the lifestyle of a celebrity.
These two never seem to get bad press as well; they appear to be the perfect couple. I am happy for them, I think they have done well. Thomas Cook is the longest running Tour Operator in the UK, so they are a very respected and trusted Tour Operator. A combination of these celebrities and this specific business has seemed to take off very well.
Surely we should look at this from all angles though. Now really do we expect to see celebrities in the same buildings as us more common people, no we don’t. Surely these two are lying to us about the hotel they are really staying at? Somehow I do not think that this holiday is going to be all that great.
Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are a favourite of the Celebrity demographic, showered in luxury hotels, however saying that Egypt holidays have been popular with the entire country. So is Thomas Cook wrong to be employing role models in their adverts, of course not, I have been on Hurghada holidays, what fun it was, no celebrities spotted though!
Celebrities And Their Spa Break
February 9th, 2010There do seem to be a lot of celebrities that love their spa breaks but are there reasons for this or do they go on them because they can?
Money
Well this is obviously the top the reason that celebrities go into some of the most expensive spa locations in the world. Many of them will go on private Europe spa holidays and Egypt spa holidays to get away from it all and you can understand why to a certain extent. Limelight is something that a celebrity is always in and getting away from it for a few days keeps them sane. Having money means you can pay for privacy and although it would be possible for people to get in, reporters will not because even a picture is sometimes not worth that much.
Stress
Some celebrities do actually get just as stressed as normal people, although people like Paris Hilton really have no reason to be stressed there are others who have very tight filming schedules which means stress, stress and more stress. Getting into the spa for a couple of hours a week is just as relaxing for them as it is for the average Joe.
For You
If you are thinking about going away on one of those spa hotels then do not be pushed away by pricing. A Spa break is not just for rich people and there are so many places that you can go to get away from the stress of life without paying out a small fortune. Going back to work after a spa break is actually pretty good because you feel pretty fresh and alive.
If you do actually end up going away on a spa break you will certainly end up being pampered like a celebrity.
