Explore The Beautiful Beaches of Thailand

January 27th, 2010

Thailand has one of the most stunning beaches in the world.  For those that have traveled there they know that the beauty of this untouched place makes for some of the finest vacations in the world.  This is joined with the huge amount of historic culture that abounds the country and there is never a shortage of things to do in this country.  Because a lot of this land is unmarred by development you may find that relaxation and peaceful living is more than possible .  The reaches of the mighty have not gotten this far and that implies that you are going to get the absolute best in the vacation arena, particularly when it comes to the Thailand beach areas.

Khao Lak is a fabulous Thailand beach.  Simply a short drive from the airport, this heaven offers a remote holiday area like no other.  Thanks to the area being largely uninhabited, there is lush rain forest nearby together with a whole host of wildlife to be viewed.  The water remains warm in the November thru December months and the fishing and scuba diving is out of this world.

Phuket Thailand Beach is another great spot.  Enjoy this resort Nov through March.  There is more than needed to do.  It’s a bit more crowded than other beaches as this area thrives on the tourism greenbacks that it brings in.  The scuba diving is top notch in this area and you will also find some of the warmest most clear water in the world.  There are a few nearby attractions to keep one busy for quite a few days.

Phi Phi Don Thailand beach is reasonably the turn around.  Once a remote and virtually unknown place, this Thailand beach came to life when Hollywood came in and filmed a film here.  It is now considered to be one of the most popular beaches in the whole country and is frequented by many gigantic names.  This is a site that you’re going to not need to miss, as the views are amazing and the water warm and inviting.

West Raily Thailand beach is one of the undiscovered diamonds in the rough.  There is very tiny that is expensive here and one can stay at the’resort’ for more than a week and hardly tap the budget.  The sands are milky white and the water clear.  Scuba diving is very popular here as well as the fishing.  This location is only accessible by long tail boat so plan for a bit of a long ride.

Some Tips For Your First Cruise

January 26th, 2010

Taking your first cruise is a thrilling prospect, and it’s a good idea to take in a few tips to make the most of your experience. First-timers sometimes don’t know what to expect on a cruise, so learning a few handy tricks can help everything go a little smoother. Take a look at the following cruise tips, and consider them before you take your cruise.

There are several things to bring that might surprise you. For example, bring along a small travel alarm clock; surprisingly, many ships don’t put these in the room as standard. Even if you’re headed to a tropical locale, it’s a good idea to bring along a cardigan or fleece that you can toss on over your outfits. You may find that the air conditioning is blowing too much for your tastes, and you’ll save yourself the inconvenience of buying one after you board. Be sure to pack your photo ID and travel documents.

Bring a carry-on bag with you when you depart, include items needed for your first day. Plenty of people will be boarding with you, so in case of a delay in delivering your baggage, you’ll be set to go for the day. Grab your swimsuit and put it in there, as well, so there’s no delay if you want to take a dip. Don’t head right to the ship’s shops, though it is a tempting attraction. Window shop if you must, but be patient before spending money. Oftentimes, the stores will have sales and discounts after the first few days on the cruise.

Some ships allow you to bring your own beverages on board (non-alcoholic), so check with your cruise line. Don’t be shocked if you see experienced cruisers wheeling up with a few 12-packs of Coke! You can save a lot of money by bringing your own soft drinks, instead of paying the premium price they tend to charge on board ships.

These are just a few simple tips to help you more enjoy your upcoming cruise. Bon voyage!
