Before you go on holiday somewhere it is always a good idea to know what there is to do, especially if you have children who are travelling with you. Turkey attracts thousands of tourists every year, with many returning year after year. So what are the things to do on Turkey holidays?
- Your hotel is your base, and Turkey is known for having fun packed hotels which will really make your holiday perfect. Obviously the more stars a hotel has the more facilities you should expect. If you want a little bit of luxury try a 3-4 star hotel which often have access to watersports, spas, Turkish baths, bars and restaurants.
- Boat trips are great in Turkey and are a really popular activity. So if this interests you go to the harbour and take a look at the different boat trips on offer. Depending on what you want to do, you will find the perfect boat trip for you.
- There are so many activities to enjoy in Turkey. In Turkey there are many different historical places of interest and two of the most well known are Pamukale which are a collection of mountainside pools which are made from calcium and look like clouds. Another worthwhile sight is Ephesus which is an ancient ruined city. An experience of a lifetime, however some younger children may find the heat gets too much.
- Turkey’s local dishes include its famous kebabs. The food is tasty and plentiful and you will be spoilt for choice from what is offer. In fact you might like it so much that you will need to pack clothes to accommodate your growing waistline!
- Have a Turkish evening – go on Turkey holidays and you should take in some traditional Turkish entertainment such as belly dancing, which both men and women do. Perfect for all the family even if you are too shy to join in yourself. Raki is a locally made popular drink, however it isn’t for the light hearted!
- Camel rides are fun and definately worth trying out if you aren’t scared to climb aboard.
