There are lots of exciting events at both of the Universal theme parks, so we’ve brought you the best of the best.  Don’t forget that there’s two parks here — Universal and Islands of Adventure.  The latter is where the Harry Potter World of Wizardry will enchant you both at holiday time, and throughout the year.

Macy’s Holiday Parade

In Universal Studios, they’re holding the parade’s 10th anniversary bash with floats and balloons directly from Macy’s Thanksgiving parade.  There are marching bands, Santa Claus, and clowns.  Everything is included with regular admission but a two day pass is recommended so you can enjoy both parks. Special Tip: Many guests find that if they purchase an Orlando Vacation Hotel package deal that this helps them save money. To visit the Macy’s Holiday Parade all you need is your regular theme park admission ticket

Best Orlando Hotel Water Parks

Orlando is a family friendly getaway spot with so many things to do in the beautiful Florida sunshine. Most of the hotels in the Orlando area have outdoor pools, as the weather is warm enough to swim outside almost all year. Many of these hotels also have more than just a pool; they have a water park too! You can combine your Orlando hotel with a water park so that the action is right outside your hotel doors. Here are some of the best Orlando hotel water parks that will leave everyone in your family smiling.

The Nickelodeon Suites Resort

This adventure filled hotel has not one, but two premiere water parks that the whole family can enjoy. One look at either of the massive water adventure areas at this hotel and you will see why Waterpark Resorts Today named the Nickelodeon Suites Resort as one of the top 10 water park hotels in the entire country in 2007. The Lagoon Pool area is a gorgeous courtyard that features a zero-depth entry pool. The nearby tower is four stories of splashing, slipping and sliding and has sevens slides and flumes. The Oasis Pool is an Olympic sized-pool where you can sun, play in the water and enjoy seven more slides and flumes. Hang out under one of the cabanas or enjoy the whirlpool if you need a break from all of the sliding and swimming!

When Should you purchase your 2012 Disney Vacation

Around mid-March, crowds at Walt Disney World are very large as people choose to spend their Spring break at this popular destination. Early in the month, the crowds are low to moderate, becoming heavier later in March. For this reason, advanced bookings are highly recommended.

When is the earliest I can book?

Disney World accepts room-only reservations for Orlando hotels up to 499 days in advance.  This means that now is the time to get booking for spring 2012.  The spring prices have already been set (they came out in June 2011), so you can now book most amenities and tickets.
How can I get started on my reservation?

Don’t delay!  Give Disney a call today to get the package and deals that best suit the needs of your family and your budget for spring 2012.  Remember that your Disney vacation package needs to be paid for in full 45 days before you check in; and calling to make your reservation requires a $200 deposit.  The balance of what you owe can be paid in monthly increments until it is paid in full, so the longer you wait to make a reservation, the shorter the time you will have to pay for your holiday.  For this reason, it is best to make reservations at least 6 months before your holiday (now!).

Disney World is able to quote and book 2012 Spring Break packages, and have upped their availability during this busy time, so there may still be space left for you to enjoy a dream holiday.

Helpful hint

When you book your Disney hotel, be sure to buy tickets for the theme park at the same time.  Often you get special discounts and perks, such as a round of mini-golf, or a certain percentage off.  This also saves you having to wait in long lines at the theme park entrance.

Special Package

Hurry!  If you book before October 29 2011, you can book a new free dining deal offer at Disney World through March 2011.  The deal started in October 2011. Dates available in March are March 3 to 8; and March 24 to 29. If you book you Disney package now and include this deal, you will be able to dine free on these dates.

With advanced planning and reservation, you can save money as well as take some of the stress out of your family holiday to Disney World.
